Dennis W. Calvert, DDS
Dr. Dennis Wade Calvert grew up in Campbell, California and is a graduate of Del Mar High School (1963). He attended San Jose State University and Brigham Young University for pre-dental training, and is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School (1973) with honors. Dr. Calvert received his periodontal training by completing his residency in Periodontics at Northwestern University Dental School in 1976. Dr. Calvert was a third generation dental graduate. His grandfather attended Northwestern Dental School and graduated in 1908. His father graduated from the University of California in San Francisco Dental School in 1953. Dr. Calvert's three brothers are also dentists in the Santa Clara Valley.
Dr. Calvert has teaching experience and credentials as an advisory teacher at Northwestern University, Instructor in Restorative Dentistry at Northwestern University, and Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the University of Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Calvert has been a regular guest speaker in Periodontics at several Universities and Colleges. He has also presented numerous lectures, conference clinics, and workshops in Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry in Illinois, Wisconsin, Maryland, Florida, Indiana, and in California.
Dr. Calvert had a General Practice in Dentistry in Illinois for three years, and has practiced as a Periodontist in the San Jose area since 1976. Dr. Calvert is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, California Society of Periodontists, and the Western Society of Periodontology, American Academy of Anesthesia, and the San Jose Study Club.
Dr. Calvert has been married to his wife Beverly, who he met in high school, for 25 years and has two daughters and one son. All children are presently attending California universities. Dr. Calvert enjoys sailing, swimming, jogging and biking.
